This week, CDC and the National Center on Elder Abuse (NCEA) are cosponsoring an “Ask the Expert” Facebook Forum on Elder Abuse Prevention in observance of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, Sunday, June 15.
You’re invited to ask questions, share ideas, and discuss solutions on CDC’sVetoViolence Facebook Page through this week.
Elder abuse is a serious problem that can be stopped before it starts. Factors that reduce risk for abuse include having numerous strong relationships, coordinating resources and services serving the elderly, and a strong sense of community.
If you have questions about risks, prevention strategies, or related issues, CDC and NCEA have answers. Post questions and comments on the VetoViolence Facebook page this week.
